My Approach
My work is grounded in evidence-based psychology and shaped by over 30 years’ experience working with women through heartbreak, separation and divorce.Â
No two experiences of heartbreak are the same. Your history, your relationship, your attachment patterns and what actually happened between you all influence why you're feeling the way you are now.
My approach is about helping you understand exactly what happened, why you're still hurting and what's keeping you stuck.
Then we work out what you need to do next.
Not more random information. Not simply waiting for time to make things better. A clear, structured and evidence-based way forward, tailored specifically to you.
Whether your breakup happened recently or you're still carrying the impact months or years later, the goal is the same: to help you make sense of what happened, heal in a healthy way and move forward without repeating the same painful patterns.
Rachael Reed, Heartbreak Recovery StrategistÂ
I’ve spent over 30 years working with women through heartbreak, separation and divorce.
And one thing I know is this: heartbreak isn't just emotional.
It affects the way you think, the way you feel, the way you behave and even the way your brain and nervous system respond.
Many of the women who find me have already tried everything. They’ve given it time. Kept busy. Talked to friends. Read the books. Listened to the podcasts. Told themselves they should be over it by now.
But they’re still overthinking. Still replaying conversations. Still wondering what they missed, what they did wrong, or why they can’t seem to let go.
There is a reason you’re finding this so hard.
And understanding that reason can change everything.
I know that professionally, but I also know it personally.
Going through my own separation taught me something years of professional training couldn't. Understanding the psychology of heartbreak and actually living through it are two very different things.
I realised that healing isn't about having more willpower, trying harder or simply waiting for enough time to pass.
It’s about understanding what happened, why it affected you the way it did, and having a clear path forward.
What I Do
I help women make sense of what happened in their relationship, understand what is keeping them stuck, and work through heartbreak in a structured, evidence-based way.
That means looking at your relationship, your history, your attachment patterns and what happened between the two of you. Because no two relationships are the same, and neither is the way we respond when they end.
The goal isn't simply to get over someone.
It's to understand what happened, heal what needs healing and make sure the patterns that caused you pain don't keep following you into your future.
